Erwinia asparaginase is used to treat acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). It works by starving tumor cells of needed nutrients and slowing tumor cell growth.

Erwinaze is an injectable medicine that is a cancer medication used for treatment of acute lymphoblastic acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

Erwinaze may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Side effects of Erwinaze

  • Pain or swelling at the injection site.
  • Nausea.
  • Vomiting.
  • Stomach cramps.
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Headache.
  • Lack of energy.
  • Drowsiness may occur.

  • Make sure you are not allergic to Erwinaze.
